Sweeney Todd opened on Broadway at the Uris Theatre on March 1, 1979.

It is a musical play about the barber, Sweemey Todd.
He was wrongly imprisoned by Judge Turpin. And his lovely wife prisoned herself after being raped by Judge. His daughter is now the ward of the same Judge Turpin.

He vowed revenge.
